Nano boron carbide powder is prepared by aerosol ablation method, featuring high purity, small particle size, uniform distribution, large specific surface area, high surface activity, and low apparent density. It is a synthetic ultra-hard material with a hardness second only to diamond, a Mohs hardness of 9.46, a microhardness of 5600–6200 kg/mm², a specific gravity of 2.52 g/cm³, and a melting point of 2250°C. It does not react with acid or alkaline solutions and exhibits high chemical potential, neutron absorption, wear resistance, and semiconductor conductivity. It is one of the most acid-stable substances, remaining stable in all concentrated or dilute acid or alkaline aqueous solutions. With stable physical and chemical properties, it is used in grinding, polishing, drilling, and other applications for hard materials.

Product Applications
1. Neutron absorption and radiation protection materials: Boron has a high neutron absorption cross-section of 600 barn, making it a primary material for neutron moderators, control rods in nuclear reactors, and radiation protection components.
2. Composite armor materials: Due to its lightweight, ultra-hardness, and high modulus, it is used in lightweight bulletproof vests and armor materials. Bulletproof vests made of boron carbide are more than 50% lighter than steel vests of the same type. Boron carbide is also an important armor material for ground armored vehicles, military helicopters, and civil aircraft, such as the AH-64 Apache, Super Cobra, Super Puma, and Black Hawk helicopters.
3. Semiconductor industry components and thermoelectric elements: Boron carbide ceramics exhibit semiconductor properties and good thermal conductivity, making them suitable for high-temperature semiconductor components, gas distribution plates, focus rings, microwave or infrared windows, and DC plugs in the semiconductor industry. B4C combined with carbon can be used as high-temperature thermocouple elements, operating at temperatures up to 2300°C, and as radiation-resistant thermoelectric components.
4. Mechanical sealing components: The ultra-hardness and excellent wear resistance of boron carbide make it an important material for mechanical seals. Due to its relatively high cost, it is mainly used in special mechanical sealing applications.
5. Nozzle materials: The high hardness and excellent wear resistance of boron carbide make it a key material for nozzles. Boron carbide nozzles offer long service life, relatively low cost, and time-saving advantages. Their lifespan is dozens of times longer than that of alumina nozzles and significantly longer than that of WC and SiC nozzles.

Packaging and Storage
This product is packaged in inert gas-filled plastic bags and should be stored sealed in a dry, cool environment. It should not be exposed to air to prevent moisture-induced oxidation and agglomeration, which may affect dispersion performance and usage. Packaging quantities can be customized according to customer requirements, with sub-packaging available.
